Biography:
Commissioner Gillies was first elected to the Board of Commissioners in 1999 and re-elected in 2003 and 2007. Mr. Gillies served as the Vice President of the Board of Commissioners from 2004-2005 and presently serves as the liaison to the Library Board of Directors.
Mr. Gillies is employed with Patterson and Company, Inc., a Philadelphia area general contracting company.
Locally, Mr. Gillies is a member of the Oreland Lions Club and has served as a member of the Springfield Township Planning Commission, Holy Martyrs School Planning Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Oreland Swim Club. Mr. Gillies has coaches many children's sports programs in the township and has volunteered with the Oreland, Germantown Academy and Springfield Aquatic Clubs.
