Selling Your Home?

Springfield Township requires the owner of any and all Real Property in the Township to apply for a Statement of Certification prior to the conveying their property to another individual. The process takes approximately two weeks to complete and may require an in-home inspection by a Township representative. The cost is $40.00.

Please be advised that you will be unable close on your property without the requisite Statement from the Township. In addition, the County of Montgomery will not register a deed without first pre-registering the deed with Springfield Township. Pre-registration will not be done without presenting a signed and sealed copy of the Statement of Certification to the Township. Pre-registration may be done by U.S. mail, or in person during normal business hours for a fee of $5.00. For more information regarding this process, contact the office of Community Development.
