What is our School District?
Springfield Township is served by the School District of Springfield Township. Please contact the School District Administration offices at 215-233-6000 to enroll your child. You may access the Springfield Township School District at www.sdst.org.
How do I register to vote?
Voter Registration Forms may be picked up at any post office, state liquor store, Springfield Township Administration Building, or the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown. Once you have registered to vote, a Voter Registration Card will be mailed to your home address. The Montgomery

When is trash collected?
Residential trash is collected once per week by Springfield Township. Please contact the township receptionist if you are unsure of your collection day. Businesses and institutions must arrange for private waste collection with a licensed hauling company. Click

On what day is my trash collected?
Refuse and Recyclables are collected weekly at the curbside in front of your residence. Following a holiday (or a day celebrated as such) refuse collection only will occur on the following business day. Recyclables will be collected the following week on your regular collection day. What are the rules for recycling household waste?
Recyclable materials must be separated from all residential and business waste. Residential recyclables are collected by Springfield Township on the same day as refuse collection. Businesses and institutions must arrange for private collection with a licensed hauling company. Click

Do I need a permit to erect a fence, outdoor deck, shed or carport?
Permits are not required to erect a fence, however please be advised that fences along any street frontage are regulated by specific setback requirements. Building permits are required for all new construction activities, structural alterations and building additions, storage sheds and carports,
